North East Minor Hockey Association (NEMHA) is pleased to demonstrate its commitment to your privacy, by disclosing our information practices, ensuring visitors that the information collected and distributed within this Web site will be used for only the stated reason. We respect the privacy of the visitors to our Web site. Your personal information is collected for the purpose of fulfilling your requests. This privacy policy applies to visitor information and the use of www. neeagles.com. NEMHA is not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of the Web sites to which it links.
1. Information Collection
NEMHA is the sole owner of the information collected on this Web site. We will not sell, share or rent this information to others in ways different from what is disclosed in this statement. NEMHA collects information from our users at two points on our Web site.
a) Email Sign Up
We request information from the user on our ‘Email Sign Up’ subscriber form. Here a user must provide contact information and select ‘General Information’ or select specific areas of interest.
NEMHA email lists reside in a secure listserv. Therefore, email addresses are never copied into an email address line for other recipients to see. Only NEMHA and our Web master have access to view the email addresses of our subscribers. We do not share, sell or lend this list with any other individual or company.

When a parent / guardian registers a player on the NEMHA Web site, specific information is required to ensure proper follow-up and delivery.

2. Cookies
A cookie is a piece of data stored on the user’s hard drive containing information about the user. Usage of a cookie is in no way linked to any personally identifiable information while on our Web site. However, NEMHA does not use cookies in any part of the Web site.
3. Web Activity (Log) Files
We use IP addresses to analyze trends, administer the site, track user’s movement, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use. IP addresses are not linked to personally identifiable information. On occasion, NEMHA will log file data (such as the number of subscribers we serve) which may be used for promotional purposes. Information that personally identifies you will be kept strictly confidential.
4. Sharing
We will share aggregated demographic information with our partners and advertisers. This is not linked to any personal information that can identify any individual person.
5. Security
This Web site takes every precaution to protect our users’ information. When users submit sensitive information via our Web site, your information is protected both online and off-line.
We also do everything in our power to protect user information off-line. All of our users’ information, not just the sensitive information mentioned above, is restricted in our offices. Only staff and Executive members who need the information to perform a specific task are granted access to personally identifiable information.
6. Special Announcements
Subscribers will occasionally receive NEMHA information via email on offers and announcements such as special events, Association news, games, tryouts, opening and closing dates, storm delays, and related information. Out of respect for the privacy of our users, we present the option to not receive these types of communications and offer choice and opt-out options below.
7. Choice/Opt-out
Users who no longer wish to receive NEMHA email messages may opt-out of receiving these communications by clicking the ‘Unsubscribe’ link included in the body of the email or email us directly at dops.northeast@gmail.com with ‘Unsubscribe’ in the subject line of the email.
8. Notification of Changes
If we decide to change our privacy policy, we will post those changes on our Web site so our users are always aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under circumstances, if any, how we disclose it. If at any point we decide to use personally identifiable information in a manner different from that stated at the time it was collected, we will notify users by way of an email. Users will have a choice as to whether or not we use their information in this different manner. We will use information in accordance with the privacy policy under which the information was collected.
