Gender Expression / Gender Identity Policy Training
Hockey Canada, with the support of the Hockey Canada Foundation, is offering a 90-minute virtually facilitated educational sessions led by TransFocus Consulting for Local Hockey Associations across the country.
A description of the facilitated session can be found in the attached, with the focus covering topics to better increase understanding of the Hockey Canada Gender Expression / Gender Identity Policy, which include but are not limited to: language, allyship, human rights and connection to both the Gender Expression / Gender Identity Policy and Dressing Room Policy.
The four Atlantic Members (Hockey NS, Hockey NB, Hockey NL and Hockey PEI) have partnered together to host two Atlantic sessions. Volunteers from any of the Atlantic branches may participate in either session. It is encouraged that volunteer coaches and administrators partake in this educational training session.
